PROGRAM AREAS:

My overall program objective is to develop and adapt technologies that will help maintain the viability of the Utah tree- and small-fruit industries. The major focus areas under this objective are: (1) irrigation management, (2) season extension technologies, (3) new cultivars and rootstocks, (4) alternative fruit crops, and (5) system sustainability.

EXTENSION:

  • Tree Fruits – USU representative on the Utah State Horticulture Association board.
  • Berry Crops – Organized the Utah Berry Growers Association
  • Home Food Production - Assist county Extension agents with the Master Gardener programs related to fruit.
