iPACE Extension Chinese/Mandarin Learning

Three pictures, one of oracle bone writing, the second of Jiufen, and the third of a bubble teaiPACE collaborates with USU 4H program and Taiwan's NCHU Language Center to design community courses with the learning-by-doing concepts embedded in these courses. The program provides practical and hand-on experience to help students learn Chinese language and culture. Below are the summer camps to begin in both the Salt Lake and Logan campuses during Summer 2022:

Want to get a head start in a Chinese immersive environment? This camp teaches prospective Mandarin Chinese DLI students basic classroom language and builds their confidence.

Pictogram Calligraphy Class

Ready to learn all about the history of Chinese characters? This class introduces basic Chinese pictograms through drawing. Bolster your knowlege of Chinese character structures and learn about Chinese culture!

Taiwanese Street Food Experience

Ever tried the iconic boba tea? Come to the three all-day camp to experience Taiwanese street food and learn about Chinese cuisine culture. Lunch and snacks will be provided!
